Welcome to the University of St. Andrews's Experimental Economics Laboratory's online recruitment system for economics experiments.

At the Experimental Economics Laboratory, we collect data on how people make decisions in a variety of situations. For that we require voluntary participation. No special skills (i.e., no prior knowledge of economics is required) or background are required. You will typically be paid in cash for your participation (although sometimes you might alternatively or in addition earn a prize), and how much you receive depends on your own and often also on the decisions of other participants in the experiment. Most experimental sessions take between 30 minutes and 2 hours.

The first step in the registration process is to register in our database. This step does not commit you to participate in any particular experiment, but you will receive email notifications about upcoming experiments when they are scheduled. If you would like to take part in an experiment you must first register with us. To do so, click on the "Register" button in the menu on the left. Registering does not commit you to doing anything, and you can withdraw your name from our list of registered people at any time. Once registered, you become eligible to receive e-mail messages inviting you to experiments. Those messages will offer you opportunities to take part in experiments.

Additional information about participating in experiments can be found in the FAQ.

If you have already registered with us, you can view the available experiment times in the calendar.
