This module provides students of sustainable development with the scientific background to past, present and future climate change and its consequences, globally. Topics covered include the functioning of the global climate system on timescales up to multi-millenial, and the response of ice-sheets, sea-level, ocean circulation, ecosystems and carbon-cycling, soil erosion, biodiversity and conservation.
