The module will provide an insight into the nature and identity of entrepreneurship by critically analyzing the way entrepreneurial activity creates economic wealth/social value; and will impart an understanding of individual entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. This module is based on case studies of some well known entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial organizations - firms such as Apple, Nokia and Google; and entrepreneurs such as Andrew Carnegie, Souter/Gloag, Taddy Blecher and Steve Jobs. It will consider the corporate culture and organization of entrepreneurial firms and enable students to consider what it would be like to work for such firms.
