This module aims to give students some sense of the complexity of modern Italy through the study of particular cultural phenomena which have played an important role in national identity formation. The module will look at a range of different texts which explore key moments in twentieth century Italian culture. Students will gain a good understanding of the events and how Italian culture has chosen to make sense of them in different media.
