This module is designed to build on knowledge of French cultural discourse acquired at undergraduate level, and to facilitate the critical study of a selected body of French-language material taken from the fields of literature, electronic media or popular culture. Detailed analysis, combined with the investigation of the context and critical reception of the material in question will form the core of the module. Its aim is to allow students to pursue particular interests which overlap with areas of teaching and research expertise among the academic staff.
