The module is designed to provide or enhance some of the specific skills and areas of knowledge necessary for undertaking research in medieval literature. This will include study of paleography and codicology with specialists from the Special Collections department of the University Library, and editorial theory and practice as it relates to medieval texts.

Re-assessment: One new submission equivalent in length and nature to the failed piece of coursework.  The piece submitted for reassessment must be entirely new work.
