Academic year(s): 2018-2019

Key information

SCOTCAT credits : 30

ECTS credits : 15

Level : SCQF level 10

Semester: 1

Availability restrictions: Not automatically available to General Degree students

Planned timetable: 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm Thu

Students will be expected to read widely and to engage with their own and other students’ work in a seminar/workshop context. There will be an element of ‘fieldwork’ (note-taking and observation) and all students will be expected to read out extracts from their work in progress and to contribute to discussion of the set texts and ideas arising from them. The module will help students approach literature confidently as participants, as well as critics. They will have a broader awareness of contemporary writing, and will develop skills in shaping their own work. (Group E)
