This module is designed to explore the range and diversity of British and American fiction of the last two decades, including examples of the short story, and to meet the challenge of entering into debate in areas where there is no body of settled opinion. Texts selected will vary from year to year. Students will typically examine from seven to nine works, looking at both thematic and formal issues. (Group E)
