Who are we? What are we? What does it mean to be human? This module examines theological and philosophical perspectives on what it is to be a human self or person. It does so in conversation with classic texts and contemporary theories in theology and philosophy. Topics will include: body, mind and soul; Christ and the image of God; Christian and atheist existentialism; critical perspectives on human identity (especially race, sexuality, and disability); technology and transhumanism.
