The module aims to enable students to understand the development and terminology of aspects of classical Arabic scholarship, to help them understand the structures that underpin the Arabic language, and to support them through encounters with a representative selection of important classical Arabic sources.
Pre-requisite(s): Before taking this module you must pass AR3401. The pre-requisite may be replaced by equivalent study abroad.
Co-requisite(s): You must also take AR3402
