This module is designed to provide a basic understanding of research design and statistics that will provide the foundations for independent empirical research and critical analysis required in the final year of the Honours programme. Emphasis will be placed on the acquisition of analysis skills. The syllabus will include core aspects such as basic statistics, technical writing and the use of statistical packages.
Pre-requisite(s): Before taking this module you must pass PS2001 and pass PS2002
Anti-requisite(s): PS3021. PS3023
Weekly contact: 1 x 1-hour lecture and 1 x 2.5-hour laboratory/tutorial class or seminar.
