This module is compulsory for all School of English MLitt programmes, except Creative Writing. It aims to initiate students in the understanding and use of the essential skills and resources of research in English Studies. It provides preparation for the MLitt dissertation. Elements include Use of Library Resources (Printed, Electronic and Remote); History of Book Production and the Institutions of Publishing; Scholarly Editing, and Getting your Work Published. This general module complements the more specialist compulsory modules of each individual MLitt.
