This module examines the intersections between science, theology, and the arts. It will consider the role of the imagination in how science and theology are engaged in past and contemporary popular culture. This module is organized around how the arts express and reconfigure core tensions in the relationship between scientific and theological ideas about what it means to be human. The range of art forms examined may include science-fiction, the Gothic, film, television, poetry and theatre.
