This module aims to give an introduction to some of the most important Latin texts from the Late Roman Empire in the West. Selected literary works, of a variety of genres, will be read in Latin, along with a wider corpus read in translation.

Relationship to other modules

Pre-requisite(s): "40 credits from LT2001, LT2002, LT2003, LT2004, including one pass at 11 or better, or a pass in LT3018, or evidence of equivalent linguistic achievement."

Weekly contact: 2 x 1-hour seminars and 1 coursework consultation hour.
