This module aims to help students to understand the fundamentals of distributed systems with reference to system models, programming languages, algorithmic techniques, concurrency and correctness. The syllabus covers synchronisation & mutex problems, atomic transactions, topologies, CSP, Internet programming and distributed computing, distributed mutex and logical time & causality.
