This module will study the 'Jewel in the Crown', the British empire in India. The aim is to provide both an overall view and understanding of the development of the Raj as well as more in-depth study of key personalities, events and issues.

Pre-requisite(s): Before taking this module you must pass at least 60 credits from {MO1007, MO1008, MO2008, HI2001, MH2002}
